AWARD OPPORTUNITIES
We offer two types of awards for our student members: student research awards and student presentation awards. You must be a member of the paleoenvironmental change specialty group to be considered for either of these awards.
Every fall we put a call out via the Association of American Geographers (AAG) messaging system for student research applications. These awards are intended for students to carry out their research. Research awards are to be used for direct costs associated with proposed research project (i.e., research travel, supplies, etc.), salaries or indirect costs are not allowed.
Student research awards are given to the best student papers and poster given during the AAG annual meeting. In order to be considered for the student research award you must apply to be judged. The application for the student presentation award will also be sent via the AAG messaging system prior to the AAG annual meeting.
